This was just me playing with Photoshop filters but starting with Page 3 of Red Dahlia (2004) before I had completed the page. I did a “Save as,” and had some fun to see what the program could do back then.

I was playing with canvas size and tried to make a very tiny canvas to see the end result.

Very early in my digital art career. I think I was still figuring out how to draw at this point.

maybe in the future when they’re trying to decipher the early, pre-emoji internet, they’ll stumble across this comic and it’ll be like a Rosetta Stone for emoticons.
