This was a comic I found deep in my sketchbook, so I had forgotten I had made it. I know it was during school though because of the sketches around it and my haircut. (Also Jesus Toast). This was after I had gone on hiatus from both LOG and NS the year prior.

“Why I hate Art School,” was a series of comics I did while in school. I lost most of them when my laptop was stolen my senior year of college. I was not having a very good time in my life in general while in school as I had a lot that hit me all at once then.
The person I was then took it out a lot on people and less out in art like this like I do today. I’m a lot happier today than I was back then because I stopped comparing myself to others. But still… Some interesting bitter art-student observations from the time.

There was 2 semesters at MCAD I had a dorm all to myself, which was glorious. That year I woke up one morning with a bird in my bed with me. He eventually got out the window, but i made this comic about it.

This was a comic I drew for myself in my sketchbook while I was visiting home during my time at MCAD. My household wasn’t the best growing up. There was a lot of tension. It was weird as an adult walking back into that after being out of a toxic environment like that for so long while in school. But also the good things about visiting home again.
