What a great opening title for a children’s adventure program right? Nothing like a fevered delirium dream to get the creative juices flowing or to allow for some interesting ideas to come out uninhibited. I get so jealous of Amber’s ability to create, I lost that feeling many years ago when I went into teaching. I went from trying to create my own works, to helping others trying to get their voice to come out. So knowing that it’s really fun to see some of the great things she can come up with.

Since these comics were made, I have changed the ship design. But this opening sequence of the ship coming into view and swinging around is still part of the final product.

This originally started out as a quick one-week story that expanded into something much bigger than that… kind of like how Popeye took over the Caster Oil comic strip back in the ’30’s and ’40s of the last century.

When I was little I had very bad ear aches. While I’m not subject to them as much as an adult, once in a blue moon I get a bad one. I was on some heavy antibiotics at the time that had codeine for the pain. Tweeker was my sleeping body.

Oh, Tweeker. When I had originally made this comic Tweeker was still alive and had slept with me throughout the whole day (of which the following week of comics is about). He was surely missed. He used to crawl under blankets when he wanted to sleep and be warm and snuggly.
