This portion of my website has somehow turned into one of the most important parts, yet I haven’t updated the blog in a while. I’m going to have to get on that…

Dreaming of Comics

When Ian was helping me update comics, we had found a pile of old ones I had made about a year prior. We were scanning them, cleaning them up, and uploading them on Toshiba-san II. We packed up what we had, moved across the country, and -for a time- lost track of that folder. Last month I found it. So we’re going to get back to uploading the old LOG comics. Looking at them, they’re very rough and not what I would do now, but I think they’re fun. I know where I’m going to pick them up again, but I have to upload what I have to get to that point. I’ve been dreaming a lot about making comics again. Which is nice. Made me think of Google deep dreaming things and trying to understand them.
Here’s an image of Google deep dreaming Ollie for Facebook to grab onto done here. This image was dreamed over a 3 day period.
Some new goodies in the archives and scheduling

Things have been busy for me here at the glych-ranch. We’re still in a transitional period between California and Colorado so I don’t have my office set up or art supplies handy. I have been busy working on future projects which I will be cataloging here on P2P. There will be some format changes but nothing too big. I will be keeping music here, though. Enjoy the latest update. I’ll track my progress on this song production as I go.
Metropolis Cam for a limited time!
Filed in Livestream | Schedule Comments Off on Metropolis Cam for a limited time!
I’m currently using Livestream to record and post a Metropolis Cam feed as an experiment. While I’ve been posting pictures in the archives of the progress on Metropolis, the videos won’t last forever as I’m only using the free service Livestream offers. It’s a fine service, and one I will pay for when it’s in the budget. Joining up doesn’t cost anything to view my channel or anyone else’s but it is still kind of annoying that you have to sign up to view anything. That being said, the annoyance is worth the content and I understand why they do it as it controls bandwidth allowance a little easier by giving people that one step.
I like the record. It’s also been a learning experience. The earlier videos are a little rougher than the later ones, I think, but only because I’m fumbling with the control panel and feeling out the setup. For example, I’ve been taking breaks about once an hour for 5-10 minutes and play old cartoons, so it’s not even a boring picture of paint drying during that time like the first few videos. I like showing people in real-time how long art really takes to do as well. And it DOES. I try to play good music. You can laugh at my annoyance at Youtube’s advertising model. Tell me how I’m doing. If you’re a fellow artist, constructive criticism is welcome.
So go to the archives and view the photos and check out the videos if you want through signing up for a free account. They’re only going to be available for a month or so and then- poof! They don’t cost you anything if you do. So that’s my pitch. *jazz hands*

“Life of Glych” isn’t just going to be a comic of what’s been going on in my life, because that hasn’t been working for me. Instead, I’m just going to track my progress on various projects like a production diary. You’ll notice some updates for Metropolis, feel free to click back into the archives for links to the Livestream pages.
Changes

My archives broke on the “Production Diary,” part of my site and it irreparable. So I’ll be moving those portion of the archives over here over the next week or so before deleting that part of the site. Old archives for LOG will still be uploaded, but life is what happens when you’ve made other plans.
Wow, Long break!

Hiya folks, Glych here! So, I admit we took a HUGE break on Life of Glych with no explanation. The gentleman who was updating the site had some computer trouble, the files were buried under a ton of other work, and I haven’t really been able to focus on the comic until now. I have retroactively updated Week 5 of the comic through March of this year. I have about 4 more weeks of comics drawn before I’ll have to start drawing new ones but that’s okay. I look forward to the challenge.
They’re in the Can!

Gary Green and I have uploaded 4 weeks of comics for Life of Glych to update throughout the month of February. We have some other projects we’re working on in that time as well, but during the month of February, we’ll be scanning in and preparing the finished comics for the month of March AND April. Already drawn, folks. This is just an update to let you know to start expecting new daily updates the first Monday in Februrary (2/4/2013)
New titles and a new home.

Hello!
The Life of Glych has moved from its original location on the main site to here because it is easier for me to set up the archives for all of my comics by separating their locations. I’m sorry for any inconvenience for the broken links or bookmarks that might have been compromised.
In the meantime, enjoy the new theme and comic size. I have Gary Green to thank for the speedy thrust towards a regular update schedule. All of the old comics will update along with new ones. Updates daily starting Feb 1st.
