This week’s comics are going to focus on childhood pressures to become something great with my talent. My father had an extensive art library full of sketches and paintings of the masters. I knew names like Rembrandt and Picasso before I knew the names of actors. I knew several of their paintings by sight before I could write their names in cursive. I was groomed to be an artist from an early age.

When Ian was helping me update comics, we had found a pile of old ones I had made about a year prior. We were scanning them, cleaning them up, and uploading them on Toshiba-san II. We packed up what we had, moved across the country, and -for a time- lost track of that folder. Last month I found it. So we’re going to get back to uploading the old LOG comics. Looking at them, they’re very rough and not what I would do now, but I think they’re fun. I know where I’m going to pick them up again, but I have to upload what I have to get to that point. I’ve been dreaming a lot about making comics again. Which is nice. Made me think of Google deep dreaming things and trying to understand them.

“Life of Glych” isn’t just going to be a comic of what’s been going on in my life, because that hasn’t been working for me. Instead, I’m just going to track my progress on various projects like a production diary. Well, hello there. Gary’s been doing a great job of keeping things updated, but we had to have a short break for me to get caught up to his success. I’m back now. The current archives will be scanned through to clean up some of the formatting, but aside from that, I think we’re ready to go with more comics.I’m not going to draw the block of time between the last comic and this one. Just know that Ian and I had a huge fight, Rhi and I had a huge fight, and I stopped drawing for a while. Things are back on track now.

I’m a girl who rarely wears makeup or dresses up, so for me to put on heels like this is a rare and special occasion. I didn’t have any sexy shoes of my own, so I borrowed some very spiky ones from a friend. And I went down like a sack of bricks. I was able to walk down the hallway un-assisted but not very much further. The negligee looked good, though. I don’t see anything wrong with a woman embracing her sexuality or wanting to look good. It’s not always my thing but I always feel womanly when I am dressed to the nines. I know Ian likes it and I think every man feels special when his woman womanizes herself for him. That being said, I don’t think it should be an ultimatum situation of “or else,” (which I’ve faced). That is demeaning. The choice is empowering. And I think that’s the difference. Now enjoy this sexy girl I found off of the internet.

I think everyone has had a night like this. I have a few of them from time to time. Since drawing this comic, my worry and situation has improved greatly, but the heart of it will always be carried with me. Ian’s cat Tweeker really does like to sleep there at night, though, and purrs in my ear all night. Here’s a pic of Ian and Tweeker because I love them both <3
